South Carolina Motor Fuel User Fee Increase Effective July 1, 2017

Effective July 1. 2017, the Motor Fuel User Fee will increase by $0.02 per gallon every fiscal year for the next six years, as outlined in the chart below. All sales of fuel subject to the Motor Fuel User Fee are subject to these rate increases.

The new fuel tax rates, provided in the table below, will be effective July 1, 2017.

Beginning Jan 1, 2017, Florida statewide tax rates on motor fuel and diesel fuel will increase.

The state tax rate on motor fuel will increase from 17.3 cents per gallon to 17.4 cents per gallon. The inspection fee on motor fuel will remain .125 cents per gallon. The county tax rate (ninth cent, SCETS, and local option tax rates) on motor fuel is different for each county.

The Nebraska motor fuels tax rate for the first half of the year (Jan 1 through June 30, 2017), will be 27.3 cents per gallon. The tax rate will increase from its current 25.8 cents per gallon. The motor fuels tax consists of 3.5 cents per gallon variable tax, 13.3 cents per gallon fixed tax, and 10.5 cents per gallon wholesale tax.

Iowa Fuel Tax Rate Changes Effective July 1, 2016

The Iowa fuel tax rates for gasoline, alcohol, ethanol blended gasoline, and E85 will change on July 1, 2016. Iowa fuel tax rates are based on a fuel distribution percentage formula. Applying that formula resulted in the changes.

The new fuel tax rates, provided in the table below, will be effective July 1, 2016.
